Saul answered, “But am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, and is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you say such a thing to me. 1 Samuel 9:21
Do you know how special you are to God? My prayers yesterday were for you to know that you are the recipe of His life, a cherished love, the brilliance of His heart. You are capable; you are able. Think of Saul, a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, who did not think he was worthy to wear the crown for the Israelite nation, who was chosen to do just that; or David who followed him, the youngest brother of many.
Saul was chosen because God chooses, maybe the least likely of us. You are worthy. Perhaps it is not about being chosen but what we do with it after you are. Saul made his own choices but there was no doubt he was to wear the crown. He just didn’t wear it well, so David came after him. Be chosen, and wear it well. Love to all.
