“Walled Off Pain – Part I” by Dianne H. Timmering

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Compassion is an interesting and complex consideration of hope. External compassion from a stranger is perhaps just as healing. Do not long for apologies that will never come, even though the person may earnestly wish to do so. Forgive them for what they are not able to give in words; forgive what they are not able to utter outwardly but only in the caverns of their mind. Have peace. Love fiercely. Wait for that winged presence which alights on your shoulder and offers you that external love which cleans out the old wound, that punctures walled up pain and shatters it into new joy and forgotten hurts. The “sorry” can come from another, and the healing is the same. All is well. Love to all.
